Brittany Barr is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the intersection of fine art, technology, and visual storytelling. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Barr has called Atlanta home for the past 13 years. 

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communications from Florida A&M University, with a minor in Photography, and later expanded her creative practice through studies in motion graphics and animation. With 13 years of experience working in the technology space, Barr brings a digital and contemporary perspective to her fine-art practice.

She currently works in AI technology while continuing to develop her artistic practice. Working primarily in acrylic and charcoal, Barr began creating portraiture in 2018, developing a visual language rooted in expressive form, identity, and contemporary Black experiences. In 2021, she released her first abstract series, marking a significant evolution in her artistic practice.

Her background in animation and motion graphics ultimately inspired her to merge technology with traditional painting. Through augmented reality and other interactive elements, Barr transforms static artwork into immersive experiences—inviting viewers to see, hear, and engage with the work beyond the physical canvas.

Her practice reflects a continued exploration of what happens when traditional fine art meets emerging technology, creating work that is not only meant to be viewed, but experienced.
